At 08:00, you will be picked up from your hotel in Samarkand and transferred to the Jartepa border crossing between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The drive takes approximately 3 hours including border formalities.

After crossing the border, continue to Panjakent city. You will stop at the local market to purchase snacks, fruits, or personal supplies for the mountain part of the journey. Then visit the ancient archaeological site of Sarazm, a UNESCO-listed settlement dating back more than 5,000 years.

From Panjakent, drive into the Fann Mountains toward the Seven Lakes (Haft Kul). The road gradually climbs through scenic mountain landscapes until reaching the 7th lake. A picnic lunch will be arranged near the lake.

After lunch, enjoy a light hike (approximately 1 hour) around the upper lake area to acclimatize and enjoy panoramic views. In the evening, transfer to a local guesthouse near the lakes for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the guesthouse near Seven Lakes, depart toward Artuch village and Artuch Base Camp. The drive takes approximately 3 hours (around 100 km) through mountain roads with changing landscapes.

Upon arrival at Artuch Base Camp, enjoy lunch before beginning your hike to the Kulikalon Lakes.

This is the most active hiking day of the program:

The trail passes through juniper forests and gradually ascends toward the Kulikalon basin. At the top, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of alpine lakes surrounded by dramatic Fann Mountains peaks.

After spending time at the lakes for rest and photos, descend back to Artuch Base Camp. Dinner will be served at the base camp. Evening at leisure for rest and recovery.

After breakfast at Artuch Base Camp, depart toward Iskandarkul Lake, one of the most iconic natural landmarks of Tajikistan. The drive takes approximately 3 hours (150 km) through scenic mountain roads and highland landscapes.

Upon arrival at Iskandarkul, your vehicle will stop near Zumrad Base Camp where lunch will be served.

In the afternoon, begin an easy scenic hike to Snake Lake and Alexander Waterfall. The walking route follows natural trails with minimal elevation change:

Alexander Waterfall offers impressive views of water cascading into a narrow gorge. After the hike, you will have free time to relax by the lake, walk along the shoreline, or rest at the base camp.

In the afternoon, transfer to Khujand (220 km / approximately 4 hours). Upon arrival in the city, dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel in Khujand.

After breakfast at the hotel, begin a guided city tour of Khujand, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia.

The tour includes a visit to the historical Khujand Fortress and the adjacent museum, where you will learn about the region’s role along the Silk Road and Tajik national history. Continue to the Central Mosque and walk through the local bazaar, where travelers can observe daily life and purchase traditional souvenirs, dried fruits, and handicrafts.

After lunch in the city, depart toward the Oybek border crossing between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Following border formalities, continue to Tashkent (approximately 160 km / 3 hours total transfer including border procedures).

Upon arrival in Tashkent, check in at a 4-star hotel. After several days of active travel, you may relax and use the hotel facilities such as the swimming pool or spa.
