Escape the historic city of Samarkand and spend a day exploring the beautiful Seven Lakes (Haft-Kul) in Tajikistan’s Fann Mountains. This cross-border tour is a great opportunity to experience breathtaking mountain landscapes and discover local Tajik culture in just one day. The tour begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up in Samarkand. From there, we drive toward the Uzbekistan–Tajikistan border where you will cross into Tajikistan. After completing the border formalities, the journey continues to the nearby city of Panjakent, one of the oldest settlements in Central Asia. In Panjakent we make a short stop at the local bazaar, where you can observe everyday life and see local products such as fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, bread, and traditional goods sold by local vendors. After the bazaar visit, we continue driving toward the famous Seven Lakes located in the scenic Fann Mountains. These lakes are known for their unique colors, ranging from turquoise to deep blue and green. Surrounded by mountains and small villages, the area offers stunning views and a peaceful natural atmosphere. You will have time to explore several of the lakes, take photos, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and admire the impressive landscapes of this remote region. In the afternoon, we begin the return journey to Samarkand. After crossing the border again, we drive back to the city and drop you off at your hotel in the evening.
